ISPO 2025: A Week of Innovation, Connection, and Transformative Care in Stockholm

Amparo Prosthetics just wrapped up an incredible week at the ISPO 2025 World Congress in Stockholm, Sweden—and what a week it was! Surrounded by industry leaders, innovators, and clinicians from around the globe, our team was proud to showcase how Amparo is redefining prosthetic care through mobility, speed, and accessibility.

A Buzzing Booth & Unforgettable Demos

Throughout the Congress, our booth was a hub of conversation and discovery. Clinicians, partners, and curious newcomers dropped by to learn more about our Direct Fit Technology—and walked away inspired by the possibilities. With over 20 live demos of our socket systems, including our flagship Resilience Socket, visitors witnessed firsthand how it’s possible to create a comfortable, definitive prosthetic device in a single session.

Attendees were particularly impressed by the workflow efficiency and time-saving potential of our system. For many, it was the first time seeing a socket system that combines speed, comfort, and repeatability without compromising on quality.

World’s First: Direct-Fit Pediatric Socket

ISPO 2025 also marked a major milestone for Amparo: the launch of the world’s first direct-fit pediatric socket. Designed with children in mind, this socket is not only fully definitive and remoldable up to five times, but it also adapts to the rapid changes in a growing child’s residual limb—offering a new level of flexibility and comfort for young patients and clinicians alike.

Reaching Further with Mobile Care

We had rich conversations about the global need for accessible and mobile prosthetic care, especially in remote areas. Amparo’s system doesn’t just work in the clinic—it goes where the patients are. With our portable fitting technology, clinicians can deliver high-quality prosthetic care in the field, reducing barriers and raising the standard of care for underserved communities.

Functional Insights: Motio Gets a Major Upgrade

Another highlight at ISPO was the announcement of an exciting update to our Motio Functional Reports. Now featuring a new comparison report tool, clinicians can more easily track patient progress and benchmark mobility improvements over time.

Even more notably, we introduced an upgrade in our hardware: Amparo is now using the StepWatch 5—the most accurate activity monitor in the world, backed by over 800 peer-reviewed studies. This next-generation technology strengthens our commitment to providing clinical-grade data that supports better decision-making and improved outcomes. The combination of precision data and a patient-centered approach is making Motio an indispensable tool in modern prosthetic care.

Workshop & Training: Tips, Tricks, and Team Spirit

In addition to the booth, we held a live technical workshop at ISPO where we demonstrated step-by-step how to fit an Amparo socket, sharing insider tips that sparked great discussion among clinicians eager to bring this innovation back to their practice.

But we didn’t stop there—we hosted a full Amparo Socket Training just steps away from the congress hall! Led by our clinical experts Vanessa Carvalho and Michael Taylor, the session welcomed over 20 professionals for an immersive, hands-on experience. (And yes—Michael may or may not have gained a passionate Filipino fan club by the end of the event!)

We owe a huge thank you to our incredible models, Stuart Croxford and Artem Molochko, with the amazing support of Viktoriia Shvetsova. Their energy and enthusiasm were key to bringing our sockets to life.

A Major Reveal: The Amparo Majicast System

At ISPO 2025, Amparo unveiled one of its most anticipated innovations to date: the Amparo Majicast System—a fully integrated hydrostatic weight-bearing platform purpose-built for direct-fit prosthetic socket fabrication. And the crowd? Absolutely packed.

Presented during a private launch event, the Majicast System drew standing-room-only interest from clinicians and industry partners eager to see how socket innovation meets hydrostatic precision. What they witnessed was nothing short of a paradigm shift in prosthetic care.

With its proprietary hydrostatic casting technology, Majicast allows clinicians to shape sockets directly on the patient’s residual limb under full weight-bearing conditions, producing a truly total surface bearing fit—with zero plaster, zero casting errors, and zero guesswork.

This isn’t just a new tool. It’s a complete, clinician-ready solution designed to streamline the entire socket creation process—from first contact to finished fit—in under two hours.

Majicast is:

  • Accurate Socket Fit, Without Plaster. Without Compromise.
  • The only system built exclusively for Amparo’s remoldable direct-fit sockets.
  • Designed to work anywhere—no electricity, no plumbing, and fully portable.
  • Powered by real-time soft tissue control that prevents bulbous sockets and post-fit rework.
  • Engineered to create both diagnostic and definitive sockets in a single session.

The response from attendees? Speechless. After witnessing the system in action—delivering a fully customized, patient-ready socket in less than two hours—many visitors said it redefined their expectations for modern socket fitting.

From uniform pressure distribution to repeatable, anatomy-based results, Majicast brings together the best of clinical science and user-centered design. This is what direct-fit excellence looks like.

Whether you’re fitting in a high-tech lab or a rural clinic, Majicast is built for confidence, comfort, and control. No plaster. No compromise. Just better outcomes.

Until Next Time, ISPO

To the entire ISPO organization, to everyone who visited our booth, joined our workshops, or just stopped for a quick conversation—thank you. And to our incredible Amparo team: your passion and dedication made this week unforgettable.

We’re already looking forward to the next ISPO—and to continuing our mission to make high-quality, accessible prosthetic care available anywhere, anytime.
