Amparo Gains Momentum in Canada at OPRC 2026

Amparo Prosthetics was proud to take part in the OPRC Congress in Montréal, Canada, together with our Canadian partner Ortho Active.

The event marked an important milestone for Amparo as we continue expanding into the Canadian O&P market. With Ortho Active now representing Amparo in Canada, we are excited to bring our full product portfolio to clinicians, clinics, and rehabilitation centres across the country.

Bringing the Amparo System to Canada

During the congress, our team had the opportunity to meet prosthetic professionals from across Canada and introduce them to the Amparo System through hands-on conversations and live demonstrations.

We showcased several core Amparo solutions, including:

  • Majicast, our hydrostatic weight-bearing shape capture system
  • Resilience Socket, designed for adaptable socket care
  • Trust Socket, supporting direct-fit, check socket, and shape capture workflows

The response from clinicians was fantastic. Visitors brought strong clinical questions, practical workflow considerations, and a clear interest in how Amparo’s direct-fit solutions can support their day-to-day practice.

For us, these conversations are exactly why events like OPRC matter. They allow us to listen, demonstrate, and explore how Amparo can fit into real clinical environments.

A Strong Focus on Majicast

One of the key highlights of the event was demonstrating Majicast in action.

Majicast supports hydrostatic weight-bearing shape capture, helping clinicians capture the residual limb under load while supporting soft tissue control and volume matching. This provides a more functional and repeatable starting point for socket fitting.

For Canadian clinicians, this created valuable conversations around primary patients, rehabilitation pathways, clinic efficiency, and how better shape capture can support more consistent socket outcomes.

Majicast also reflects one of Amparo’s core principles:

Your Workflow. Our Sockets.

Our goal is not to replace the expertise of clinicians or force clinics into a single workflow. Our goal is to provide technology that integrates into clinical practice and supports teams with flexible, practical solutions.

Launching the Full Amparo Portfolio in Canada

Our presence at OPRC also marks the beginning of a broader launch of the full Amparo product portfolio in Canada.

Together with Ortho Active, we are preparing to support Canadian clinics with Amparo’s complete system of products, tools, and workflows, including direct-fit socket solutions, Majicast, Trust Socket, Resilience Socket, Paediatric Socket, Motio StepWatch, and supporting in-clinic tools.

This launch is about more than introducing new products. It is about building clinical capability across Canada through training, demonstrations, onboarding, and future patient fittings.

We are looking forward to visiting clinics and rehabilitation centres across the country to show how Amparo can support different clinical pathways, patient populations, and prosthetic workflows.

Why Ortho Active

We are especially excited to have Ortho Active as our Canadian partner.

Their deep knowledge of the O&P industry, strong clinical understanding, and established presence in the Canadian market make them an ideal partner to support Amparo’s growth across the country.

Throughout OPRC, the Ortho Active team brought energy, expertise, and a clear commitment to helping clinicians explore new possibilities in prosthetic care.

A huge thank you to the entire Ortho Active team for their support, collaboration, and dedication.

Looking Ahead

OPRC 2026 was just the beginning.

The conversations in Montréal confirmed the strong interest in adaptable, direct-fit prosthetic solutions across the Canadian O&P market. We are excited to build on this momentum through upcoming trainings, demonstrations, and patient fittings with clinics and rehabilitation centres across Canada.

Amparo is now present in Canada with Ortho Active, and we are ready to support clinicians looking to bring faster, more adaptable, and workflow-compatible prosthetic care into their practice.

Your Workflow. Our Sockets.
