AidEx 2025: Showcasing Mobile Prosthetic Innovation for Humanitarian Impact
Amparo Prosthetics had the honor of participating in AidEx 2025—the world’s leading humanitarian aid and disaster relief event—held in Geneva. With a global audience of NGOs, UN agencies, field workers, donors, and technology providers, AidEx serves as a powerful platform to explore how innovation can meet critical needs in low-resource and emergency contexts.
Bringing Direct-Fit Prosthetics to the Humanitarian Space
At AidEx, we introduced our Direct Fitting System—a mobile solution for fitting definitive lower-limb prosthetic sockets in under two hours. Designed specifically for rapid deployment and use in areas with limited O&P infrastructure, our technology empowers clinicians to fit amputees in the field, improving access to care and reducing dependency on centralized facilities.
We believe this approach can play a critical role in restoring mobility and independence to individuals in post-conflict zones, disaster-struck regions, and underserved communities worldwide.
Live Workshop: A Socket in Under an Hour
One of the highlights of our participation was a live workshop, where we demonstrated a complete direct-fit socket application in under one hour. The audience had a front-row view of the full process—from heating and molding to final fitting—showing just how efficient, repeatable, and impactful our method is for clinicians working in high-pressure environments.
Booth Demos & Technology Showcases
In addition to the workshop, we hosted daily demos at our booth, welcoming visitors from NGOs, humanitarian agencies, and clinical organizations. Attendees were able to see and feel our Resilience Socket and learn about the remoldable, portable, and patient-ready nature of our technology.
Spotlight on Restoring Hope: Fitting in Conflict Zones
AidEx also gave us the chance to present a compelling case study: Restoring Hope, our joint humanitarian effort to provide prosthetic care in Gaza. Using Amparo’s mobile fitting system, teams on the ground have successfully delivered prosthetic fittings in areas without functioning clinics—showing what’s possible when innovation meets urgency.
Thank You & What’s Next
We want to thank everyone who visited our booth, joined the workshop, and shared ideas with us during AidEx 2025. Your curiosity, questions, and feedback are helping to shape the future of accessible, field-ready prosthetic care.
